Kids' Ocean Adventure Series
The Big Blue and You Foundation "Kids' Ocean Adventure Series" is a fun-filled program that teaches kids 6-13 years old the importance of the ocean and its marine life. Using art, fitness and food, the Kids Ocean Adventure Series is an innovative way to engage children in learning about marine science. In 2009, this program was conducted at the Newport Beachside Hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, FL. Young hotel guests as well as youth from the community joined in the fun one Saturday each month to spend the day with the Big Blue & You crew. South Broward High School students also volunteered their time to mentor and assist with the programming.
